June-July 2025 Update

It has been a hot, hot, wet, wet summer, but we managed to find some breaks in the clouds, cool water and plenty of gorgeous fish! Liam (above) did some carp fishing on Lake Brandt and bass fishing on a local Guilford County pond. He caught some monsters in both places- this guy has his eye on chasing tarpon on the fly and we are working to bring this dream to life!

John got to fly fish for the very first time on a local pond and did outstanding (even though he would say he much prefers the more traditional method and ). He is growing a great deal as a young man and a fisherman and will get to test his skills on a river trip in August. Tyler (below) got out on the New River and didn’t miss a beat! Catching fish after fish showing up Patrick and Josh with his skills and calm under pressure.

It has been awesome to spend time with these young men and see their growth. We invite you to continue to keep them (and us) in your prayers as they navigate family life, going back to school, and growing up without their earthly fathers present to them.

Tyler, Liam, and John have shown so much growth in the short time that we have been blessed to work with them. Pray for continued opportunities for us to share the truth of God as their father and that he would show up in tangible ways for them.

We have at least 3 new students that will join us in the next few weeks and we are excited to have an opportunity to get to know them and show them the love of Christ and the joys of fly fishing! Please pray for these new students, for all the details of scheduling and travel, and for them to get hooked on a life filled with faith, hope, and love.
